Scene 1: Catavento on the air in the KUT Radio station, Austin, TX.
Scene 2: Band is being interviewed. Susanna Sharpe and David Pulkingham on camera on the couch in Susanna Sharpe's and Sergio Santos's house.
Susanna Sharpe: Okay, so the way we started playing together was that I had a gig that the Samba Police people couldn't do. I called David and a bass player named Luis Guerra to do the gig. We did the gig and we enjoyed working together. So we sort of said, "Let's keep getting gigs." And then the bass player left to play with somebody else and Christian was coming back to town. I had always wanted to play with Christian and I said, "How would it work with two guitars, instead of bass and guitar?" which is a more normal format. And he [David] thought "Great. In fact, I love it."

Susanna Sharpe: Musically, everybody has exciting ideas and everybody [Sergio adds "good taste."] has good taste. Everybody wants to try out stuff and we often try out stuff right at the gig.

Scene 5: Susanna on the couch in Susanna and Sergio's house.
Susanna Sharpe: I think people really do respond to the personalities in the band. And when they come to see [the band], you know, you're seeing interesting people up there performing and we each have a different personality. I think that comes through.
Scene 6: Catavento together outside after performing on KUT Radio.
Susanna Sharpe: So it's more than just the music. And the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
